About me

My name is Ha Ta, and I am a journalism graduate student at Northeastern University. I came to Boston from Vietnam, where I graduated as an English Linguistics & Literature major and started my writing career.

After finishing my undergraduate degree I was a PR assistant at Mondelez International, then worked as a marketing executive at Student Exchange Vietnam, a social enterprise advocating for educational and cultural exchange in Vietnam, where I also began publishing articles.

I went from the corporate world to working at a small social enterprise startup because I wanted to see meaning in what I do and create personal connections with people. This was something I explored since undergraduate school, participating in several international programs to meet people from different parts of the world. Being a journalist satisfies those two desires and this is why I am here at Northeastern University. You can check out my Linkedin profile or read my articles at Student Exchange Vietnam or GoAbroad.com.

All serious things aside, I love food, travelling, photography (I’m still learning!) and engaging in a long conversation with a hot cup of chocolate.

I love food of all types, especially pizza! and Regina’s is my favorite pizzeria in Boston.
